When I heard that LEGO was releasing 2 Chinese themed sets I was so EXCITED! Then I learned that they would only be available in Asia, and I was Sad. But when LEGO announced that the Dragon Boat Race would be released at LEGO stores in the USA – Rejoice! This set, with it’s 15 minifigures, 2 dragon boats, and docks with Sushi stand is one of my must have sets for 2019. Originally priced at $79, this set has so many minifigs!

LEGO 75273 Star Wars Poe Dameron’s X-Wing Fighter
Over the years the X-wing has seen a lot of different LEGO builds. This version of the resistance X-wing fighter has movable wings (of course) and is built out of 761 parts. It comes with 4 minifigures, and even has space in the back compartment behind the cockpit for an R2 unit.

Lately I’ve been seeing more retro style sets- Not all of you are as old as I am and can remember owning some of the vintage LEGO sets. The Exclusive Fire Academy set reminds me of the old school LEGO fire sets from the 70’s and early 80’s. This one comes with 3 minifigures, a building, and a firetruck, and will only be available for sale at Legoland Parks, and Discovery Centers.

Today the LEGOnet (LEGO Internet) is all abuzz with the announcement of the latest Creator Expert Modular set – The Bookshop. With 2504 pieces and 5 minifigures – the price will be $179.00. As you can see from the images, this is actually 2 buildings built together a bookstore on one side and a little 3 story house on the other, side by side. It’s a modular so it will connect and fit in with the other LEGO modulars that have come out already.

This set appears to come with LEGOs latest version of the classic Landspeeder, as well as a Luke, C3PO, as well as Jawa minifigure with a little brick built cave. It’s based off the scene in the first Star Was Movie, A new Hope, where Luke goes with both droids actually from his house on Tattoine to Obi Wan’s Hut to learn more about himself, and his family’s fast, as well as the Force.
LEGO 75271 Release Date
The Lukes Landspeeder LEGO set is scheduled to be released early in January 2020. Based on previous releases however this set might be released on Dec 26, the day after Christmas. I base this of off previous releases in earlier years, as well as the fact that some of get a little extra money for the holidays, and LEGO wants us to spend it on them – which I always do. This is not a VIP only release as far as know. I expect this series of sets to be available at both the official LEGO store, as well as 3rd party retailers like Amazon or Target.
LEGO 75271 Pieces & Minifigures
There are 236 pieces in this set, including 3 minifigures: Luke Skywalker in a cloth cloak, C3PO, and a little Jawa. It also comes with Luke’s classic 3 engine Land Speeder, and the Jawa lives in a little brick built cave with as you guessed it more sand Tan parts. I would have liked to see another R2D2 included in this set, as he was part of the characters in the scene in the first Star Wars movie that this set is based off of.
LEGO 75271 Price
I expect this set to be priced at $29.99 US and will be on sale starting January 1, 2020.
LEGO 75271 Review
Right now as of the time of writing this blog post, this set is not yet released. When it is, I’ll buy it and write my thoughts here. I’m really looking forward to the Tusken Raider Minifigure as well as the Princess Leia Hologram.

LEGO 71026 DC Minifigures
For a while now, there have been rumors for the next LEGO minifigure series. A few days ago, some photos were leaked on a Japanese site showing the box and bag images. There is a group photo as well of all the 16 minifigures in the new DC Series, but no individual shots yet. Since these aren’t officially released LEGO images, I don’t want to share them yet. When they do release more info I’ll update this post with them.
These are the new 16 LEGO DC Minifigures. These are superheroes and villains. I’ve got a list of the names below. Some of them are more popular characters, while others I had to look up because I wasn’t as familiar with them as I could be.
In each case there are several of each of the 16 different Superhero & Villain DC Minifigures.
I originally learned about the release of this series from a Japanese website that I follow.
It appears that all of the characters have 1×2 jumper plates and a trans clear piece which can be put under their foot to allow for some posing in jumping or flying action shots.
I’ve learned more about the new trans clear Minifigure stand and written a separate post about that. At this time I don’t know which minifigures in this series come with this piece, but I’ll include that info as I get it.

LEGO 75270 Star Wars Obi Wan’s Hut
I don’t think Obi Wan wanted to retire to the desert planet Tatooine with it’s dual suns, but for every Jedi duty calls, and Yoda instructed him to wait out his days there on a special mission (Can you see that I’m trying to avoid spoilers?) The LEGO Obi Wan’s Hut has a lot of sand bricks which I always seem to need, plus a new Leia micro figure in trans blue resembling the holographic image from the first Star Wars movie.

There are 200 pieces in this set, including 4 minifigures: Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Tusken Raider, R2-D2. There is also a microfigure Leia in Trans Blue which represents the hollogram that R2D2 projects of her asking for help.
This set also has a nice headpiece with goggles, a couple of Lightsabers, and a good number of Sand Tan tiles that I can never seem to get enough of for my MOCs

LEGO 75265 Star Wars T-16 Skyhopper Vs. Bantha Microfighter
With so many different Star Wars Lego sets, there needs to be something unique for each one. For me, in this set, its the Batha, and the Tusken Raider. When I was just a 7 year old boy I saw Star Wars when it first came out in the theater, and in one of the first scenes of the movie, young Luke was attacked by them and it scared me a lot. Ever since then, I’ve had a healthy respect for these sand creatures.

This one, the Sith Trooper Battle Pack, and the other, the Mandalorian Battle Pack. I was able to find this one on the day after Christmas at one of my local stores.
