Plant
For the last few years LEGO has been experimenting with using a new cellulose based plastic. They started this initiative with the plants pieces. So essentially they are plants from plants.
It is impossible to tell the difference according to the LEGO group. I can’t personally tell, but my dog seems to eat the plant pieces more than regular pieces, so maybe she can tell.
The reason they are doing this is to become more Eco friendly. As we know LEGO is made from ABS plastic, which isn’t the best for the environment.
So LEGO expects for all their pieces to be 100% cellulose by 2030. I’m happy they are doing this!
